Known as Ex Libris or "from Books" per the Latin derivation, bookplates help mark the inside front cover of a book with information. The bookplate's information can include the name of person who owns the book, the date the book was given, perhaps the name of an association and their seal, or just a colorful image printed on the book plate labels you can make some fun kids bookplates too.

 

You can make some fun printable bookplates by using an image of an activity that a friend enjoys and placing it on a set of gift book labels and affixing the ex libris on the inside or backside cover of a book you are giving. They'll enjoy looking on the bookplate and reflecting on the moment and thought of your gift.
